    Bum gun leaking

Is there any decent bum guns that don't leak I have tried the high end 1000 baht Haffle model the cheaper middle 500 baht model and they all leak.

I don't even have a pump only town water supply and they still leak what's a man to do is there any non leaky models or do I just need to install an on off valve which I would prefer not to do

Where's it leaking from? Fittings or the gun itself?

Anyway I've went through this a bunch too. I just buy a new one with a plastic hose. Those seem to hold up for like a year

Never had a problem with them unless some debris' made its way to the trigger and nozzle,...easily fixed by unscrewing the nozzle off and back flushing it with trigger pressed down.

Good chance you've got a bit of grit or something inside the gun which isn't allowing the stopper to fully seal the water off. I recommend you take it apart and clean it. On reassembling rub a little Vaseline on all parts. Usually works for me.

Give the bum gun a good clean as suggested. Use a specialised brush with bristles that can penetrate every nook, cavity and hole of the nozzle. The brush should also have a long handle with an angled head for greater control and access.

Not sure what the technical name of it is called but I call it 'The Wife's Toothbrush.'
It's particularly effective after a big argument as you can really apply a lot of elbow grease to scouring off those stubborn pieces of fecal matter.

And always replace it back in it's usual place. You never know when you might need it again.

Is it me or is the irony strong in this one?

There is (on the whole) no link between price and quality here.

However, there is a link between quality of workmanship and product faliure.

I'd love a bum gun in my apartment.

However, all I have is one of those old skool bidets. It's better than toilet roll I suppose but not half as satisfying as a high pressure jet.

    Could be hard water?

Disconnect from the hose and dunk in a class of Coca Cola.

    Neither of ours leak.

What usually happens is some tractor driver usually plough's up some pipe and that's how the shit gets into the system. Regular occurrence round here.

without that white tape they wrap around everything there would be a lot more leaks, 20 baht a roll, worth a try.

Some industries don't allow thread tape and still have no leaks! Pipe threads are taped so as to prevent leaks

Thai water pipes are just pushed together though with some sort of glue at the joints, well they are in our house

Did you get it fixed? Mine was clogged and I took it off and sprayed water in from the nozzle side. Good as new.

Thank your lucky stars it's the gun and not the bum that leaks.

I've been asked by older folks how to deal with that. Depends I say followed by a good washing.
