Watch that they don't cook any pets trapped in the room.

The normal temperature of the gas circulating in the coil is approx 7°C when the system is operating correctly. The air circulating through the cooling coil will drop to approx an air off the coil temperature between approx 12°C to 15°C depending on the room temperature. When the filter blocks the air stops moving through the coil. This reduces the heat load on the coil and the coil temperature drops below 0°C. The coil then starts to freeze the moisture in the air and causes the coil to ice up.

Kurgan your a good guy but if you pay 400b (£8)
    What'd you expect mate
A decent tradesman or specialist wouldn't scratch his bollox for 8 nicker
Highest minimum wage here is 300 baht a day and only labor required for the job
In phuket 400 to 600 baht per air conditioner depends if you want 1 or 4 cleaned
Takes about 1 hour to strip down and clean both inside and outside air con units
Plenty of service places around that charge 500 baht for a proper strip down clean
and that's what we pay for a top cleaning job, only extra which is not normally needed
    is for refrigerant/gas
Of coarse we check with local Thai/farang friends to find a good company, not the Internet

I suppose thats where I am lucky as I own a Air conditioning wholesale outlet and Lady Cows brother owns an air conditioning service company. I find the A/C we installed in the boudoir when Lady cow got knocked up needs the filters cleaned every 3 months due to the "clean" Bangkok air although I am fussy and it doesn't cost me.

Hmmm. the highest minimum? Does that mean there is a lower minimum?

So the guy that does the cleaning gets 300 Baht a day. He probably gets more like 500 or 600 but...
Then his employer needs to charge more than that. Then there is the truck to pay for and the fuel and the wear and tear on the pressure washer, chemicals if used. etc, etc.

Going rate in BKK is around 400 baht per unit but they won't come for one unit! Usually all 4 at the same time.

If you can find a qualified guy who has a motorbike and you provide the ladders and the pressure washer and... he might do it for 300 baht per day but I doubt it.

Sometimes people's concept of the cost of things in Thailand is illuminating.

One can delay the inevitable by buying a 275 baht can of AC cleaning foam and treating the indoor unit every so often. Outside units, if ground level, can easily be cleaned with a garden hose.

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
