Out walking yesterday not running! Again PEA method. Do not use the existing supports for vertical support only for lateral support. This is kinda what PEA do also. So put another support the correct height beside your existing one , resting it on the same slab and simply bolt the two together.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all

So you end up with a dozen pairs of posts bolted together, with the original posts only going halfway up?

Hardly things of beauty, even by Thai standards!

Plus you'd have to drill holes through the original posts, while PEA 's are not only considerably bigger but have the holes already cast in to allow for it.

The PEA ones I saw were only about 6 in sq. Whatever gets done is not going to look super. Just a few blocks and it would all be hidden.

Looks like take off the first 600mm of concrete to expose rebar then cast new ones, seems favourite then?

Take the roof down, bulldoze the walls and free those Roman pillars of the burden my friend, buy them an awning in July
