Sorry no,, they are hidden amongst the rubber trees, just behind the airport road with the shops, 7/11 etc.

You can see 2 of the hotels that I built as you land at the airport ==> Phuket Airport Hotel and Airport Overnight Hotel. Both are on roads adjacent to the airport. (The other hotel - Airport 24/7 Hotel - is also in the rubber trees).
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile

    6 inches of reinforced concrete...
In truth, it is 6 inches in some areas and 3 inches in others. There is a gentle slope on the land, so to avoid a sloping platform, the depth is greater at the bottom of the slope.

In any case, if the teepee idea fails, I will contact the local haulage company to see if they need a car park.

Simon, how about sticking to what has proved successful for you thusfar; incremental improvements directed by your experience in the business over recent years?

Anyways, good luck with the new Native American Traditional Abodes (NATAs). There's a good idea above about staff uniforms...

What has been happening on the gf side recently, any incidents you should be sharing with us?

OK, here is a photo of the progress:

The concrete slap has been created, and now my expert workman is putting down the non-slip, floor tiles.

All the water piping is complete and tested to drain ok into the septic tank, fat grabber tank and dry well.

The tiling should be complete in a couple of days and then I wait for the teepees to arrive from the US...

@Bettyboo, there has been no good news regarding GFs.Do you have anything to offer me?

Yes, you can have the wife as long as you build her a hotel. She's quite attractive, a good cook, slim and sexy, and, most importantly, she has the quality you most look for in your women: she's bipolar.

FedEx tried to deliver the 2 teepees today when I was out. That was a fast turnaround from the manufacturer ==> about 1 month from placing my order.

I wanted to use USPS to deliver the goods, but the boxes were too large and so I was forced to use a courier company, paying about 15,000 baht postage.

Now I have to pay an extra 31,000 baht in import tax. That amount is not a surprise to me, because I checked the customs harmonization code prior to delivery. It is the correct tax, not an inflated Fedex charge (which often occurs...).

Oh well, I'll pay the tax tomorrow and then get to work with my huge erection - 24 six metre bamboo poles are needed for each teepee.

You have no doubt noticed that sometimes in rains in sunny Thailand?
You may also have noticed that buildings of anything other than concrete tend to get eaten, allow the growth of organisms and allow ingress of water, bugs and critters?
Do these tents have sewn in ground sheets? Also these teepees have a smoke outlet at the apex do they not? Bamboo poles attract bugs …Marine synthetic materials also attract mold.
Sounds like a maintenance nightmare. Tents are not designed to be permanent structures methinks…..

The tent material is heavy duty, marine cotton, treated during manufacture to be waterproof, fireproof and treated against mold etc. They have a 15-year guarantee and are proven over many years in hot, humid, wet climates. Some buyers of their teepees are still living in them (as permanent homes) after 20 years.

Untreated bamboo poles attract bugs. Treated ones do not.

Walter Mitty I am not For fun AND business ==> Yes.

Many people who laughed at me for building a B&B slap bang in the middle of a rubber tree plantation are not laughing any more when the booking revenue per month averages at around 160,000 baht, (with more than 100,000 baht clear profit per month).

I expect these teepees to be very popular with Asian tourists, and my Chinese guests never smoke inside my guest rooms.

I'll get these teepees open for bookings by high season, and then let's see how popular they are.

Yea, not a very good video, never realised that I sounded like a poofta until I watched myself on that video.

That aside, the teepees have arrived!!! Tomorrow I'll go out and purchase the bamboo poles, termite treatment, varnish etc.

PS - I am actively seeking a young squaw, in case you think that my carnal thoughts had been put on a back burner with the thrill of erecting my massive wigwams.

Make it a sacred ceremony where, by American Indian tradition, each teepee has to be consecrated to the future of the tribe by the chief. Get some hookers, disappear into the tent and then come out saying the teepee is ready to be occupied, as all of the bad spirits have been ejaculated away.
