Fence building in Australia

Well seeing I can't contribute to a building thread in Thailand one from Australia will have to do.

The house I live in I bought 2 years ago but only moved in 5 months ago. During the last 5 months I have got the back and side garden looking pretty good but the front is a mess mainly because the fence is some 40 year old piece of chicken wire. I decided to get a proper fence done so that i can then get stuck into the garden. A few weekends ago my brother and chainsaw and I got rid of all the yucky trees and bushes that were growing through the fence the rest I will leave up to the contractors who arrived this morning.

My first lot of photos show them pulling down the chicken wire. You will notice that there is not much difference to top end aussie workers and thai workers. Notice the bloke wearing flip flops and using a vehicle to pull the fence out.

Depends what you call a life pooly? Shaggin hoes, then no probebly not. There is still a shitload more to do in this area then that though.

There's a shitload more to do in BKK than do bar-girls but.......who would want to!

Actually come to think of it there isn't really all that much to do in Bangkok. As I don't shag garden implements or go to pubs all the time I do remember finding myself bored from time to time when I was living there.

I'll be home soon and hopefully my fence will be finshed so will be able post some more pics.

Okay after the finally ripped out the fence with the car they started putting the fence bits together in my drive way so that i couldnt get to work which was a nice excuse!

They moved the truck for smoko so I had to go into work and a few hours later (gee I sound a slack as DD) upon my return home this great view greated me.

Nah seriously, I am a little worried about that but in the 2 years I have had it with the chicken wire out the front nothing has happened so I am hoping I should be ok. I hate being cooped (spelling???) in - just hate it so I figured a fence half the normal height was a good compromise.

Another great thread MeMock. Pictorials are always good. With regard to the getting robbed thing, my ex wife had a good theory about getting broken into. When we lived in Chiswick, West London, we had a great two storey Edwardian house that must have looked like rich pickings to a robber. She insisted that we should never lock the front door as if a robber tried to get in and found the door unlocked he wouldnt dare try to get in coz he would think that either there was someone home or there was nothing worth nicking anyway.

We never got robbed. The neighbours did though.

It's a good theroy cap. I do the same with my car. For the last 10 years I have never locked my car (and they have varied from $50,000 dream machines to crap mobiles) and have always left my wallet in them when ever I am at my office.

Never had any problems
