2014 Building cheap 6 multi units In CM Cheap Cheap

Hi nice to be here have been lurking for a while and have found some helpful information, the plan is to build in rural CM.

Has anyone built very very cheap units for low end rental 1500bth [at]pm
This is a social project that still wants to turn a profit so ROI is a key factor.

These units are similar to what I want, unable to post direct link .
    teakdoor.com/construction-in-thailand/84861-architect-plans-thai-rental-units.html

But has anyone made something even cheaper?
    Flat roof
    Rammed earth and interlocked bricks
    Cost of materials
    Metal roof versus ?
    Slab
Due to the small size an efficent floor plan cooking to open at the back
Thank you to everyone in advance hopefully I can return the favor
    Tony

I think you can do that, no problem.

    ROI = 150 years...

(btw, did you say 1,500 per month rental, and you want to turn a profit???)

When I think of cheap, I think of this:
    -Cheap hollow concrete blocks
    -Cheap iron roofing
    -Cheap precast columns
    -No flat roof

Interest in this myself, not so much as a rental income, but to house rubber workers from the south.
Locals just won't work full time, laziest people I have ever seen, make normal Thais look like workaholics.

Tony, don't get me wrong, but have read this, met people over the years with the same idea.
Thai wife, has some land, build a resort, bar, restaurant, live happily ever after.
First, nothing is cheap, it's not just the cost of a shed, you need to furnish, power sewage and the list goes on.
Then you need planing permission, this Thai, no problem no one cares, is true, until someone cares. Planing can not be back dated and the locals may not want a low market refugee camp.
Lots to it, so until you have all the facts and figures, keep you money in the bank. Jim

Hi thanks everyone for your helpful input
Bettyboo 5 units so the roi will only take 99 years
Koetjeka do you mean no roof :smiley laughing: or just not a flat roof how could anything be cheaper?
James these are for low income farm workers some are Burmese , the site has electricity, spring water and will need a Cesspit, a dirt road to the property with about 5 other neighbours
Those legalities are some concern, that's why I'm really glad to be here, as it is a learning experience.

I've had a good life and would like to improve some lives .
Have seen plenty corrugated iron shacks for rental even two story ones in Pattaya, but in this century shouldn't we all do a little better?

    Thanks again Tony
