    Bloody aircon. Drat and dagnabit

The A/C in my bedloom has started spewing very cold water occasionally. It can be left on all night at 27 D's no plobrem but if I have it on in the lafterloon for a couple of hours I sometimes hear a dripping noise followed about 15 minutes later by a load of freezing cold water.

Is my A/C freezing up or the outlet blocked??

PS, I had it serviced a while back and got told 'No plobrem Midter', after being charged 400 baht for fuck all.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

Kurgen I had exactly the same thing happening to the split unit AC in my lounge room 2 weeks back, also in the afternoon. It had only been cleaned about 5 or 6 weeks before that.

Called the boys back and they pulled the cover off it then unblocked the drain pipe (or whatever it's called) that sends any water back out thru the wall. A 5 minute fix, no problems since. It's easily sorted.

    This.

Just gunge in the drain pipe blocking the water exit, so it feeds back.

I would call a different company to fix it than previously used !
They obviously didnt have a clue, for a proper strip down air-con clean not many who know what they are doing will do it for less than 600 Baht, yes there will be exceptions!!

A lot of A/c blokes are idiots with a screwdriver, get the technicians in from the makers, they can strip it all down and put it back together in no time.

The unit is being stripped because it's totally filthy, the last set of monkeys obviously didn't clean it.

However, I have heard, a ladyman will attend to your tradesmans entrance, fart, AND scratch their bollocks in their knickers all for the princely sum of 400bht.

Were had similar problems - some time ago. The outlet leads out into the yard, some critter had got up the pipe and blocked it. Rerouted the outlet into the shower unit - no more problems.

    Yep...
Yet, most of the pussies here couldn't go without there precious A/C.

If one requires an A/C unit that is fit, there are the units available that function by air instead of liquid with little moisture or condensation build-up - providing the same consistence temps as the watered-based units do......but without the hassle of extending conduit to said unit, healthier, less maintenance, less expensive.
