    Kurgens pool

I woke up yesterday to the normal bog standard garden.

I woke up this morning to a 12m X 4m hole in the now none existant lawn.

The pool is being delivered this morning.

    I'll post some pics later.

    Right, some pics

This was my garden yesterday morning. The hedge in the middle was where the garden used to end before me bought the extra 50tw.

Here's the old hedge and a few trees getting removed.

This is how it looked without the hedge.

They started digging about 11 am and this was what it looked like by about 4.30 pm.

    same same

OK, day 2 (today) and they put the sand screed in the bottom,

Next the pool turns up but it's to big to drive int the village so it has to be craned in over some vacant land.

    Here it comes

    That's the 1st lift over

Right, crane mas moved and I am up on the car port roof. Lights, cameras and action.

    She's up....

    and over

After a bit of in out shake it all about the pool is in place

The team are now putting in about 18,000 liters of the 60,000 liters of water needed to check the leveling. Not bad for 2 days work.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

That looks like a great and easy pool solution - good effort.

You'll be needing one of these:

^^ Great job. Much better than pouring concrete and tiling as it always takes them 3 goes to do it right.

Wouldnt mind a pool myself, a concrete and tiled pool 8x 4 would cost me about $20 000 in Laos, if you dont mind me asking whats a pool that size costing you all up ?

Inc Jacuzzi, salt water filters etc etc total 780,000 baht.

Price aside, the 5 day start to finish guarantee sold it to me.

Apparently I'll be swimming in it Saturday evening. I've then just got to get the sandwash patios done next week, fingers crossed.

I'm really impressed with the company, thanks for the recc Pete.

so about $23 000 USD , i would also prefer a fibreglass pool instead of a concrete tiled pool, concrete is guaranteed to take them forever to build plus the Traditional mess the konts make, i see in vientiane there is a JD pools agent and also the french outfit les joyoux im pretty sure both of them only offer a lined pool and unless anybody can convince me otherwise im sure they are shit, Your option looks the way to go, wonder how hard(expensive) it would be to get one over the bridge, i will make enquiries about that

I sincerely hope it all goes well, I did my homework and would not touch J.D.pools, this was based on what other members had said, and a visit to their place in UT, as I said I hope it goes well with your pool.
