Some progress shots of my 40 ft. shipping container conversion into a basic dwelling.
The picture below is a shot of the front of the container. I fitted frames for screens and screen doors with a welder's help.

The welder fitted frames for the Jalousie Windows - total of 5 windows so the container has good cross-ventilation. Originally thought an A/C was going to be needed but this new 'dwelling' is only used for sleeping at night when it's cool. A small fan makes it quite comfortable after the sun gets over the tree line. Also, I fitted a sprinkler head over the top of the unit for when it gets really hot - like April/May
All that is needed to do now to complete the project is get awnings fitted over all windows. My welder promises 'soon'. We know how that goes.
The container has been up on the pedestal for a couple of years now. Leaving it on the ground was an immediate termite magnet!
