It seems port 25 for 3bb is being blocked as spam, so I can't send any email out. Does anyone have an alternative port to try?

I've given up changing SMTP settings each time there is a problem with the ISP's servers.
I use gmail for outgoing (SMTP) mail, set up so that the From and Reply To points to my Swedish email account (which is blocked for SMTP from outside the net it resides in).
This setup allows me to keep my long time known email address while using gmail only for outgoing mail.
There should be a thread here on TD where I'm helping MeMock to do this setup.
most ISP will block SMTP 25 for outgoing emails, which is line with most ISP policy worldwide for blocking spam hosts
you will need a mail server with non-standard SMTP ports, preferably residing outside Thailand, to send emails
alternatively Gmail or Hotmail from your Outlook setup,
I use Thunderbird. My hosting company is based in the US, but my ISP is 3bb. I don;t see why I should pay another 1000 baht or whatever just so I can send emails without having to route it through another company such as Gmail.
I'll have to check out Lom's thread I guess.
if you have admin access to your hosting machine and access to the system shell, try to install a small mail server with a non 25 port, very easy to doOriginally Posted by Marmite the Dog
it's also possible in your hosting package that the company offer non 25 ports for SMTP SSL communication, but this is quite rare for "standard" package
Google option with Thunderbird is the cheapest,
Surprisingly enough, I agree with what the ladyboy says.
Tell your hosting company you can't use port 25 because it's blocked by the ISP, and ask them if you can use another port (for example, if you access a Gmail account from Outlook, it uses port 465 for an outbound SSL connection).
Cheers men (& BF)!
