App, codec or anything else that might be useful to know.
Got a load of CDs to put on disk. Not too worried about the file sizes. I'm thinking FLAC might be best but wouldn't play on some media/mp3 players.

You have iTunes or Windows Media Player? Both can be setup to rip all to .mp3 format.Originally Posted by Plan B
I had iTunes once many years ago. Was one the most intrusive pieces of software I've ever had the misfortune of using. Had a look at WMP and it doesn't do FLAC files. It does VBR which one person told me is better than mp3. But I have no idea myself.Originally Posted by Norton
Some people think it don't, but it be.
I use .mp3 because it is the most universal to use. All a matter of preference. The new iTunes is much better that the old one but WMP is good. Really no need to have both. I occasionally use Audio grabber but not often. Suggest you use WMP with audio quality 128mbps and encoding .mp3. For me gives good audio quality.Originally Posted by Plan B

WinAmp and use MP3. FLAC and OGG are for posers.
I like MediaMonkey MediaMonkey » Free Media Jukebox, Music Manager, CD Ripper & Converter it will rip and burn, convert, download album art and lyrics. Plugins will display the lyrics and provide an album cover flow like iTunes.
