    Spybot is a bit lame for my taste altho' handling is good.

    CCleaner is faster, that's why I switched. Just remember to update.

    I gave up using spybot from inside the machines booted windows OS years ago - too much stuff had countermeasures targeted at it.

    you have to run it after booting an OS to ram from a CD or USB.

    I like Ccleaner, too, for taking out the trash. I've also got Glary Utilities, which catches some things Ccleaner doesn't, although that works both ways.

    if you have a legit copy of windows then get rid of the subscription antli-virus as microsoft security essentials is pretty good
