    Thumbs down WebCam chat

The wife wants to chat to the family in Thailand with a webcam link so they can see the baby. They will be in an internet cafe, what is the best tool for this?

^agreed however they will need to be able to log in to skype, so they will need a skype account and the internet cafe will need to have skype installed with audio and webcam, they must also make sure that when they sign into skype they check the box to say they are on a public computer and sign out after the chat

Or MSN messenger live. The interent shop in thailand should have a login that they can borrow for an hour or so, if they dont have their own login.

either Skype or MSN work well from my Ban Chang home location. Most internet places have camera and mic. Suggest head phones at public location in Thailand. Great fun for the family to be able to this.

I have more success with MSN than Skype but then again I am using my phone for connection and probably always be unless they wanna put 10km's of phone line my way..

Either or I'd say, try both.
