    Extremely non-technical question

How the hell do you get the little ticks over certain letters? Like the froggy word 'resume' needs two of them. Can't find any key or function on my keyboard to do this.

    thanks in advance

    ^^^

    Alternatively (in XP) start/all programs/accessories/system tools/character map

select your font, pick the letter, copy and paste to document. Codes and keystrokes are shown at the bottom of the window.
