How to DL music cd to computer?

I'm having a devil of a time trying to copy music cds to my computer. Spoke to a Thai friend and he mentioned something about Itunes but then I lost it after that. Can anyone supply me with a step by step process to do this? Thanks for any help. I use windows XP if that helps with an answer.

It would help Eli if you told us where the music is being sourced from? I assume you are trying to copy from the CD? and how are you trying to do it now? Do yiou have nero installed?

1.) Put CD in CD drive in PC...

2.) Launch Windows Media Player...

3.) Click menu option to 'Copy from CD'...

4.) Click button that says 'Copy Music'...

5.) WMP will rip the CD to your hard drive and place the files under:

C:\Documents and Settings\your.name\My Documents\My Music\Album Name

Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am...

Thanks Peterpan and yes I have Nero 6 and it is coming from a music cd.

Muadib, How do I get it out of C drive and get it into my partitioned HD from C to D drive?

Copy it, perhaps?

Do you know how to use the mouse, or do you need a tutorial for that as well?

WMP = Windows Media Player... It will rip the files to HD in whatever format they are in on the music CD...

Nonsense.

If you want MP3 files, then Audiograbber is the best program to use.

I stand corrected... Out of the box, WMP will only save files to .wma format... I use a pluggin for WMP to allow MP3 recording, ripping & playback...
