    Teakdoor and Chrome

Anyone else finding Chrome 133.0.6943.60 makes TD almost unusable?

Not only is scrolling erratic at best, but it keeps popping up saying there are "performance problems" with certain tabs (I open several threads simultaneously).

No problem at all on Firefox.

I've been updating regularly but two builds since I noticed it and neither of them have fixed it.

    Same for me too.

Takes me *even* longer to scroll past your reams of posts each day.

I usually have 10 or so various tabs open, 2 or 3 times in last week I've opened TD as an extra tab and it instantly shot the CPU usage through the roof. From maybe 15% to 100%. Closed TD and and it went back to normal.

I just put it down to Butterfly doing one of his Win XP Butsecs hacks.

    Win 11.
    Chrome.
PC bought new 2 yrs ago.

To be honest, I'm amazed at the speed of Firefox. Might just stick with that.

777mb of memory usage sure is a lot for one tab of a subforum that's not doing anything.

    This thread tab is 75mb

    This thread 171MB
other threads, lowest 110MB, highest 219MB (thread full of photos)
This is in one active chrome window with 37 tabs whereof TD is one tab

scrolling isn't as smooth as in Firefox, it is slightly "jumpy" probably video card/memory related

Edit: now this thread is 98.7MB
    Edit 2: and now 187MB

Chrome is a resource hog and is generally shit. Firefox is superior and it's open source.

Memory isn't the issue, plenty of that.

And it's only recent updates to Chrome that caused it.
