So, as I was saying before the gremins struck, AIS have bought 3BB.

I would be inclined to talk to AIS about 5G Broadband, as they probably have the infrastructure.

Yes , a 5g router with WiFi access point

But , you will be paying for data and not get unlimited and you will need direct line of site to a tower and I would bet a good rainstorm would cause issues

Wired is for when you want it to work all the time.

Have the same really in the boonies. Hard to believe no fiber your place. Wouldn't worry much about wiring. Fiber cable is about the diameter of a tooth pick.

Except you will if you're willing to pay Bt1,100 a month for it.

TBH I'd be surprised if there isn't 3BB Fibre in your area Misskit, even driving around in the boondocks of Fang district last week I saw 3BB trucks whizzing around.

Yeah, If you stream a lot and can't get unlimited, it will cost you a lot to go 5G router. One movie can be a GB at full HD. All you need for the Fiber is someone to get you the coax jack and run one wire to your modem or even combo modem/router. I like to put it near my TV and I run one wire to that and any other devices around my TV that might use it. The rest is WiFi.

OK. OK. No 5G router. *sniffles* It was such a cool idea.

3BB was the only one with fibre optic here and will be at the house today to install it.

    Thanks to all.

We have 3BB with their wireless router. I have never done any tests to check on my UP or Down speeds but I have no problems with my bedroom TV watching movies on Amazon Prime or Videos on You tube. I mostly watch You Tube lectures, documentaries, and news.
We have a two story concrete build house and the wi-fi router is located upstairs, i get good coverage downstairs and almost every part of the property. Often I am talking to my sister on Skype and walk to the other side of the property to show her something with no problem.
The question is, where you are located. 3BB could be great where I am because the have the infustracture here, but suck elsewhere. The same is true with every internet provider IMO.
I have not used a hard connection for any of my devices for years.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

^ I had it for a whole month before I left Georgia for Nevada. The electric provider ran fiber optic lines in the area.

Bet you will find its faster and a hell of a lot cheaper here. You should be on mega fast for under 800 baht a month.

Cheaper yes faster, I doubt that. Fiber is fiber, I have gigabit throughput up and down, and not many places in the world get faster than that.

That's awesome, but it is not faster than the fiber I have, you said it was faster, and it is not.
