Chinese hacking grooup APT 41, AKA Wicked Panda, uses Malaysian and Thai Companies

According to a cyber blog article, Chinese APT 41 has been found to be involved in not only the typical state sponsored hacking activities, but also for profit activities involving Thai companies and most notable is the Malaysian game developer SEA GAMER. They were using gaming companies for developing games with backdoors for hacking into systems. They would also advertise themselves out as a penetration testing company, but would leave behind backdoors in order to steal data. They were also discovered to be taking data from universities and NGOs. There are four separate articles they put out over the last week.

This isn't the first time this APT has been in the news for abusing their hacking abilities. If SE Asian countries are expected to trust China as a big brother to ASEAN, when are they going to get their cyber arm under control and stop hurting their neighbors?
