Ok so if you are going to adopt some trashbag insult that a moron like jack off came up with then the gloves are off.

You are a fucking dumbass moron. You fled from PC because you are a dimwitted shitbird. If you had a clue than you would have built your own PC like I have done since basically the time of x286 but you have no idea what I am talking about. So do fuck right off idiot.

Fuk me, you're sounding like Cyrille... I made little computers on my Beng Electronic Engineering about 30 years ago. Nowadays, being a gown up with my own income, I buy one.

I'm talking mid-50s, if you were getting 10p/bottle you must be younger than my firstborn; not sure if we had off licenses in my early entrepreneurial days.

So, my Win10 appears to work ok, then this morning when I started Excel a red update box popped up, went through the motions and came back with this

    SOS - Win10-activation-12-png

...tried Word, same same; without these two I'm focked!

Can't get into either, and I'm sure I had stopped Office updates since I never need more than the basics.

Disable Office updates in Windows 10 Settings
    Step 1: Open Settings ...
Step 2: Go to Update & security > Windows Update. ...
Step 3: Turn off the option labeled Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows.

Only problem is, there is no *3 option.

Macs are expensive, but they last longer, have better customer support (for longer) and just keep going for a long time. My average Dell (which were decent) laptops lasted 2-3 years. I've only had a Macbook for little over two years, but collagues have had there's for 5, 7, 10 years with no issues.

MS is endless problems, everyone knows that.

I'm happy in my MacWorld where everything just works... Why don't you get back to the Brexit thread and explain how Brexit will never happen, or rush over to the Covid-19 thread and tell everyone how it's no worse than a seasonal flu - do you not get bored with being wrong time after time??? Here's a tip: if you're in agreement with Mr Sausage and Cyrille (which you often are) then you should think again...
Alright gay boy, we get it, you buy overpriced fag shit made for people who aren't very good at computers.

Stop using fucking pirate software then.

    It's not rocket surgery.

Go to Banana IT and buy a proper, licensed copy of your very own.

Childish cliches. Macs just work... no mega updates, no o/s blocking, the sw and hw work in harmony because the same company runs them both. People who have never tried a Mac yet knock them are not very smart folks.

If you are gonna use MS o/s and or s/w, you gotta get the real deal and pay your dues.

Surprised Buttfly hasn't chimed in yet to recommend you to get a Mac and install WinXP SP1 then edit the registry with IE6 or some other such nonsense.

    Did C-virus get him?

When the time comes for a new computer it might well be a Mac, just not looking forward to learning a new system.

Good advice, but I already have a licensed copy, just trying to avoid the trauma of another Win-reinstall.

It's painless, basically everything is the same or simpler. All the Microsoft apps work in exactly the same way.

Try the LibreOffice pack, it is free, it is maintained and has been so for many years, it is as close to Microsoft Office you can get.
I don't use any MS software except for the operating system, have always used better 3rd party software.
