    Speakers or Soundbar?

My old Creative speaker system packed up recently after 12+ years, so I'm in the market for a new set of speakers for the laptop at home.
A friend of mine recommended a soundbar (Bluetooth) unit, but I have no experience of them.
Anyone recommend a decent brand / set-up, or soundbar recommendation for listening to music at home? Budget not a problem.

I would go with speakers. I have Harman Kardon. Good stuff. They have soundbars as well.

The technology moves so quick your best bet is to get yourself down an audio store and have a listen. Put this on your phone and crank it right up to test the bass....

I went out last year to buy a bloody Beats Pill and ended up coming home with a 20,000 baht Polk Woodbourne. On Amazon now it's one third of that bleedin price
    https://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-AM.../dp/B00EXPNI84

It does sound nice though, sat on a shelf above the tv, i cant see the fukkin mahogany top now though

I also bought a JBL flip this year, it's like the beats pill but louder and bassier. I took it down by my pool and noticed some miserable old fukker gesticulating on his balcony

There's a JBL sale on in Emquartier on the 3rd floor, I forget the name of the shop but its near the Sony shop.

Interesting design concept, looks a bit like something from the kitchen.. I imagine.

Seen a review on youtube which reckons these are the dog's doodahs, so plenty to think about on this page. Thanks for the replies, chaps.
