Does anyone have any recommendation for an efficient win 7 ?

I need to give a students machine a birthday and was looking for any recommendations

peopel used to minimise winXP and then up an iso as a torrent - is that done for win 7 ?

something specially for a student would be the best , with integrated office , farcebook etc
