Just American...since you say not all bloatware is considered junk. You must be British? Its always about nationalism with you guys. Try and be civil with you and it gets nasty. What is that? National inferiority complex? Jesus get a life. Not everything is about your nationality or the need to jump on the Brit-mobile at every instance.

We're done. Keep the green sent along with the attitude.

I notice there is a distinct sound of silence in this thread from all the Apple knockers who are usually around proclaiming how you can buy 3 of these piles of crap for the price of an Apple

Mine tested at .87 Mbps download (which is what you're really concerned about when it comes to internet speed) which is shit. For example, if I am on a particularly heavy Web site, I won't even get access or, if I do, it won't complete the transaction unless I close all other pages on the browser (i use Chrome). But it will get it done.

In other words, your provider could be the problem, as simple as that. I think your company will understand, if you present the facts (Mbps) and results (can't complete any work in a timely and efficient manner). Also, do you have your company's network, log on and password? Do you log on to it from home (it doesn't require opening your browser)? That's the first thing you want to do after you open your computer (just like you do at work). For curiosity's sake, open Explorer and see what shows under Network at the bottom. If you log on to your company's network, you should see some improvement.

^ Speed's fine. I can use this laptop (not the work one) no probs. And my stepson is always gaming with Skype & social media open as well with no probs. We have factory restored it (work one) now which helped a little but we've had a look at everything on it & there's shitloads of unnecessary stuff, so think a purge is definitely on the cards
