    PC Problems.

Initial problem. When I installed Google Chrome about a year ago, upon opening, it would also open another 5 or 6 Chrome pages.
Not really a problem, just close the other pages.

About a week ago a friend sent me an inconspicuous link, I opened the link (it was a grammar test) Had a look and then closed it.

    That's when the fun began...

When I open a window and click on any link, sometimes another window opens up seperately and it's a link called, Free Porn Videos.

Yesterday, I had a visit from one of the TD, IT specialists

He's managed to install, mallwarebytes etc...Uninstall Chrome and re-install Chrome.

    "That should be fine, now."

So, I open Chrome and, Lo and behold, 1 page of Chrome opens.

Click on a link...Fookin' Free Porn Videos opens!

Try to watch YouTube or any other video clip,or scroll down a page, they are all intermittent.

Any other IT specialists out there!

Yeah I'm struggling to see what your problem is here Charley.

I doubt it we'll help you but I'll mention it anyway for all the other dumbfucks out there like me.

Was having shit loads of problems a few days ago with Chrome on a brand new desk top. Something called 'Faster light' had my computer by the balls. Opening up adds, making loads of words clickable links, and shit loads of other stuff. My computer was basically fucked and I only took it out the box a few days earlier.

Anyway, after trying everything, looking everywhere for something to delete and remove, running malware bytes, it turns out all I had to do was uninstall or turn off a Chrome add on. It was just one of the things like Adblock that You enable in your settings and it just needed to be turned off.

Always worth a look at what browser add ons have been installed if you're having problems. Acts just like a virus but much easier to deal with.

Good luck with it mate, and happy new year.

    Download the free version of Malwarebytes here;

    https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

    1.Install it
    2.Update it
    3. Run it and when it completes clean any malware it may have found

    Then download the free version of crap cleaner here;

    https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

    1. install it
    2. run it
    3. let it clean junk

Crack a fresh beer and move on.

Oi, whats with the use of the confused smiley ?

1, Right, when I looked yesterday, everytime you opened chrome on his pc 8 pages would open on the taskbar, which were trying to redirect to bestiality websites, we've all seen his affection to pets in his various threads regarding huskies, hedgehogs , bats and the like, so I doubt very much he got the virus off his friend, unless he's a veterinary surgeon

2, When you clicked internet explorer it would also redirect you to chrome.

So I downloaded Malwarebytes, deleted all the startup webpages on chrome, then uninstalled and reinstalled chrome.

3, Yahoo toolbar wouldnt uninstall, so downloaded revo uninstaller and got rid of that

4, deleted a few programs from add/remove programs that looked suspect, such as bundled software uninstaller and goatsinshortcoats.exe

BTW... when I left him all was fine with his PC and as I drove away thinking about the sheer amount of redirects to porn sites I couldnt help but wonder, if it reallly was his scooter that dislocated his shoulder

Anyway, that's not the only problem he's got, that virus has also moved to his laptop and is deeply ingrained in there too I would imagine.

I'd just reformat both pc's TBH Charley and upgrade to Windows 7 from XP, its not safe anymore

In the Chrome main widow - upper right- there is an Icon showing 3 horizontal Bars. Click on that, go to "More Tools" and Click "Extensions".

Disable any you do not recognise - that should help.

ALSO - Go to "Settings" and look at "On Startup" select "Set Pages" and delete any Page urls you do not want to open when you start Chrome.

    Patrick,already done that.

Anyway, I think I've cured it!

Went to settings, then advanced settings. In privacy, went to 'content settings...'
In cookies, went to 'manage exceptions...

    Put in. adultube.info and Blocked!

    Hope this works.
