Proxy Site Use w/out cookies? & DNS Server

I want to access a blocked site visa proxy.

1.I went to "Hidemyass . com" that I found on a google search.

It won't let me use it until I "activate" or "allow" cookies. I don't want to.

2.Another way to get into this blocked site is to add a number on my DNS server.

Any way for me to use Option #1 and/or #2?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

expat shield puts you in nottingham somewhere and manages to fool the bbc into letting you watch their iplayer
also fools itv and channel 4

actually speeds up my internet but you have to turn it off when you want to get torrents

a far superior option to poxy proxies

make sure you have an adblocker installed on your browser

    expat shield relies on advertising
won't see any of it with adblock

    No prob, there.

I do not have adblocker installed.

I hope "Expatshield" does not slow down my computer.

    I am installing now.

    install it then

expat shield is faster than any proxy but you will need to install adblocker

you really should have it installed in any case

i'm using expat shield right now

no discernible difference in browsing speed

I think hotspot shield will be better for him, he's in the States. Why would Facebook be blocked there ?

I had that expat shield, it stopped working, I use media hint plug in for chrome to watch bbci player now

i fear barbaro will be unable to connect and he'll be inundated with ads

he probably browses with internet explorer

    he is a serious technophobe

you should probably get a license to operate a computer

    Thanks again, CMN and Dill.

    I am in East Asia.

I have installed "Expatshield" and it worked.

    CMN, you recommend installing adblocker.

    Which is best?

    Many thanks.

I've started using "media hint" add on for firefox.

expat shield was really good, but it stopped working for me a few months ago.

you are the second person who has said that

    have you tried updating?

when you say it stopped working, were you unable to connect?
    might be ISP related

Try the Hola extension for firefox.
Adds a button to your browser that lets you change your IP to any number of countries with a click. Also remembers your proxy preference for any given site.

Yep, I uninstalled it and it wouldn't let me install it again.

    Worked fine up until then.

I tired this for fun. It changed my IP address to various locations around the world but seemed to slow down my speed. lets you make some choices on of which is how often you want it to switch from the location your IP is show as coming from. You could show Fort Lauderdale, Florida then switch to another location such as South Africa in x amount of minutes.
