Thread: It's happening again

TWGF has announced that she has her heart set on an Xperia Z1 and is waiting for her contract to run out next month. That is all very well and good and I am happy for her except that this means that she will have a larger phone than me and I will have to keep my phone in my pocket whenever she is using hers in public.

But this has happened before. Last year before really large smartphones existed I had a lovely little Samsung Galaxy Ace. At that time CCGF (crazy chinese GF) was happy when her contract ran out and she got a spanky new S2 (which I had been wanting to get) and I ended up having to upgrade to a Google Nexus to regain the screen-size upper hand for the sake of face.

So where to from here for me now? A Note III?

Shouldn't there be a ban on girls owning smartphones over 4.3 inches?

I am considering urging TWGF to wait for the Z1F to give me a bit of breathing space and buy me some time.

You stand out more if you reject this sort of toy technology, rather than if you embrace it. If you do it with savoir faire, that is. Don't play the game, trump it.

My 5 year old Nokia cost around 700b.

It's perfect.

Use my Galaxy Tab for tablet wonts. Camera for photos. iPod for music. Phone (shock) is for phoning people and sending messages.
