    3g in Bangkok

I have read somewhere that 12call have turned 3G on in Bangkok. Is this true and is it working everwhere in Bangkok?

I only noticed it the other day. I lost my cell network for about 10 mins and then when it came back on I had 3G.

    It works here in Silom.

I just received this text from them.

"From now on, you can enjoy 3G, EDGE and GPRS with your current package automatically. To check 3G coverage and for more info, visit www.ais.co.th/3g "

Do you know if they're doing it pay-as-you-go?

    I don't know.

But I will say that so far the 3G speed has not been good. It might be because my phone is switching between 3G and wifi all the time but I swear that the EDGE was faster.

I got the message in Pattaya, 1gb per month is so much, or they have a 40 hours per month deal, as I never use my phone I didn't delve into it further and deleted the message.

I know this is an old thread, but I'll update this topic. 3G is available everywhere in Bangkok from all 3 providers. DTAC, 12Call and True Move H. Max price for 'unlimited' is about 900 thb. 3G plans and prices.

I changed from AIS to True-H because AIS is very slowly and at O-Nut Road also 3G is just not seen.

I called AIS and they told me that in June will better. That I got told a year ago too.
