Don't need too. I got a iPad shortly after they came out two years ago. I bought it on the basis that it was the best tablet on the market, not so much because of apple brainwashing, but because it was the only tablet on the market.
^ so no Nana Plaza ladyboys then? Should hope not, although Kwang speaks very highly of the top floor, whatever that is/means...
I think I'd like a tablet. I might start a poll. At 13.5k, I reckon the iPad 2 is a good buy. Although, I'm still leaning towards as ASUS for its extra work abilities.
If you're not in a rush, hang on till the end of the month; there are going to be quite a few product announcements at IFA 2012.
^ I'm never in a rush to purchase, 'Arry... :)
Hard as it is to believe, but I don't know where nana plaza is beyond it is somewhere near nana BTS....
I take it you mean the asus transformer, it does look interesting but I do have my suspicions that its a desktop trying to be a tablet and probably doing neither well. talking os desktops, been looking at lenovo w530 as a replacement for my macbook pro.... very nice notebook
I would suggest that whatever you buy as a tablet, its worth shelling out the extra for 3g connectivity.
^ I agree. 3G is a must for a tablet.
It isn't on the Kindle Fire and it doesn't bother me. Most phones have tethering or Wifi hotspot capability anyway. You really shouldn't run around pretending you know about technology, people will think you've been knocking around with Buttplug.
:)
^ sorry 'Arry, but tethering your phone to use as a hotspot is not the best answer for most folks - they'll, like me and Hazz, just buy a 3G tablet. End of issue...
Yes, because it makes sense to pay for two 3G accounts instead of one, especially if one of them is unlimited.
Actually harry in thailand it makes a great deal of sense to have two sims. The best data 3g comes from TOT/CAT and their resellers. The best phone coverage comes from AIS, who have a seriously over subscribed data service and a dodgy 3g service which does not work with as many devices.
then one has to remember that in thailand the mainstream mobile companies such as AIS, True, DTAC are very expensive when compared to the TOT resellers (with the exception of true). I pay about 200B a month for 1G of data with imobile, that is cheaper than 1G of data with my phone carrier, who's voice service I am quite happy with. So its not that using the 3g modem on the tablet provides a significantly less messy, battery efficient and just fu**king works data service than tethering its cheaper too.
Heard of True, 'Arry??? Should check out their packages (home wifi package), the missus gets free 3G/data for her S2 (20 hours a month or she can pay 100 baht for unlimited, inluding hotspots...). Why the fuk would I want to tether my phone when I can just use 3G on a tablet; paying 30,000 baht+ for a phone and tablet, do you think I give a rat's arse about paying a few hundred baht extra per month for unlimited 3G and wifi hotspots for my devices??? Get a grip 'Arry...Quote:

I don't have any cash, spent it all on the missus' S2... :( I'm gonna buy a top end HTC with jellybean, that's what I'm gonna do... (when it's out).
Best wait for this one then.

Previously known as HTC Era 42, the One X+ leaked about a week ago along with some of its specs. Unfortunately, there was no confirmation on the smartphone's hardware and software configuration until today.
The folks over at LandOfDroid have just discovered a NenaMark2 benchmark of an unannounced Android smartphone, the HTC PM63100.
This PM63100 is also known as HTC One X+, the same device that leaked several days ago. Initial rumors claimed the smartphone will be equipped with an Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset that packs a 1.7 GHz processor.
No word on the amount of memory and storage, but we expect to come with at least 1GB of RAM and, hopefully, microSD card slot for memory expansion.
The benchmark score is the first confirmation that the One X+ is an improved version of the HTC One X, which is now among the most popular Android smartphones available in the United States.
We also know that One X+ will boast an HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 16 million colors support.
There's more to it, as the smartphone won't be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box, as we previously thought.
According to this NenaMark2 benchmark, the HTC One X+ will be powered by Google's latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
^ I like that, 'Arry.
