    Processing speed

I'm real courteous about this. I have two computers. One has a 5-year-old mother board, DDR (1) RAM, a single core 2.8 processor and a 1 GB VGA card. Windoz XP 32. BluRay movies suck. Games are good in general as long as they're the three to four year old productions, not too hardware demanding.

The other computer is a late model laptop with DDR3, dual core 2.5 and whatever vga card (integrated I assume). Win 7 64. Games suck, Blurays cruz right along without a hitch.

    Why is this?

The laptop will be your crappy integrated graphics card.

What do you mean by Blue Rays suck on your desktop ? Do you have a HD monitor ?

Sounds a bit old, if you're still running Windows XP

I would guess your desktops graphics card is not HDCP compliant.

To be able to play back Blu-Ray and/or HD-DVD you need a monitor that is HDCP compliant as well as a video card that is HDCP compliant

Both computers use the same monitor. Yes, as I said the PC is a bit old.

The second one IS a laptop. It's a lot faster than the PC, prettier image too But the same games that run well on the PC are shit on the laptop.
