    Wanted, car and scooter.

Am in the market for both a car/pickup and scooter, let me know if you have or know of something for sale.

Car to be up to Bt.300,000.

    Scooter up to Bt.25,000.

    Not really fussed on models.

    Where are you, Pattaya?

Should be plenty for sale around there. Check out taladrot and one2car.

Here's taladrot, set for Chonburi, 200-300k.

    https://www.taladrod.com/w40/iSch/Sc...p2:300000+gs:n

Stay away from the Fiestas. Big auto gear problems.

And those Almera, Mirage, March, Attrage. 3 cylinder tins of beans.

And the Brio. The rear crumple zone is the rear passenger's spinal cord.

The Chevs have a bad reputation here for dealership, service and parts. I'd steer clear.

I recently bought a wee Mazda 2 in that sorta price range and it's great. Use it more than the main car and motorbike nowadays.

I hate the Vios, but probably as solid as rock for reliability.

I'd probably choose between one of them.

Don't believe anyone reeling off the you need to put it in the wife's name nonsense. Just get a Certificate of Residence from immigration or your embassy, or use your yellow Tabien baan if you have one.

    Camry would do the trick.

Looking for a private sale before resorting to those websites.

^ they are nice. A bit more expensive than the smaller cars to fix/maintain.

Not selling mine, but it's old, probably in the 250-300k range, and has not been a single problem in it's lifespan.

Is there a reason why you'd go private, versus say off a used car company? Like Toyota Sure, for example.

Always considered it the other way round. A large company should have mechanics on hand making sure everything's okay before they put them up for sale, there'd probably be some sort of warranty, a year's free insurance, and are less likely to knowingly sell ya a lemon or rip you off, compared to some private sale bloke that you meet in a Tesco Lotus car park and has boxes of pies in the boot.

There are private sales on that one2car app. You can filter it to just show you those.
There are 597 cars between 200 and 300k to be precise, 51 if you filter it to Eastern region.

Pattaya stuff for sale on Facebook normally has a few cars on and they are all genuine expat heaps of shit
