AS someone who has taken his 3 large dogs on quite a few international and long haul moves, this is all rather sad. Chuck the little squirt in a bag and carry it on the plane with ya!

Anyway - for gawds sake don't give her to some local bird who will play with it for a while, and then chuck it into the street with the other soi dogs.

Show me an easy legal way to get her into Australia and I will take her with me.

It's very easy to take a dog anywhere. Just requires getting the checklist sorted and then working through it. It is something you could have started when you first thought you might be leaving. Having said that, it is Australia. Only country in the world who does not think that rabies jab with correct titrate reading a month later and blood test results are not valid until half a year has passed. Backwards is not the word - archaic. Bet they still make you fax everything.

I'll ask around my old darkside bunch of cronies and see what they. Kurgen liked gay dogs - he not having it?

Same situation applies in many countries. If you can’t be arsed to go through the hoops to bring your dog home with you then drown it, if you can’t make the effort it’s not like you genuinely give a fuck about it, eh? If you’ve got some kids why not get them involved in snuffing the beast, let them know what commitment really means to Daddy.

I’ll take her, pit bulls need to be trained up anyway.

Give Fondles a break- maybe his living situation back home is in flux, or he might be spending time in a place where he can’t keep a dog- anyone here should know that making the transition back after spending years away isn’t always easy. He’s trying to find a decent new home for her, not leaving her on the street, and that counts as taking responsibility for his pet. I’m guessing his actions here don’t come without some heartache.

If we weren’t already full-up on pooches, I’d take her- she looks like a nice little dog.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Cannot import dog into Australia from Thailand as Thailand is not on the approved list.

Thanks mate, yeah being made redundant was a bit of a shock and whilst I knew the day would come eventually having it happen the afternoon before I was to head to BKK to renew my work permit and visa cane as a shock considering all the paperwork was lodged a month earlier.

Whilst it is not impossible to import my dog into Aus it is a very expensive drawn out process that will require the dog to go live in an approved country before it heads to Aus makes the process un-realistic to me.

I have somewhere to stay when I do get back but that is only temporary til I get re-established in Aus (bank accounts/medicare/tax file number/centrelink etc etc) then the job hunt begin's and where that takes me I do not know as There is fuck alll in Aus now with the collase of the Auto industry so will be looking both locally and abroad.

The upside is that the arse has fallen out of the real-estate game so house prices have dropped quite a bit and rentals have become a lot cheaper.

In Perth the mining sector has kicked of again and a shit load of jobs on the go.

Australia aint that bad price wise now if ya be a bit careful where ya buy ya food and have a drink.

Good luck with it mate, not a bad time to go back actually. I go back twice a year for a month or so and notice things are getting cheaper every time.

Petrol prices are throu the roof at the moment though.

Thanks mate, Yeah not concerned about rental prices but where will depend on a job, got me forklift ticket so will most likely park me ass on one of them for 25 an hour.

petrol prices are scary but the money I sold me 2014 mazda 3 for will buy me a new 2017 Maz 3 in Aus and they are reasonable on the juice so will buy another !1

    that's actually an interesting question,

a lot of expats being shafted by their hosting companies, and how treat them after 10 years on the job, cut out and culturally disconnected from their home

quite harsh to treat their loyal employees for all those years of dedicated and valuable work

RMA management has a history of taking "last minute" decision, and they recently lost another big deal with a car manufacturer

strangely I couldn't find their financial statements online, they used to publish it when it had 800m USD in annual revenues, now nothing

Shit happens and with a company that is struggling financially redundancies are always in the back of ones mind and atleast I was let go whilst the kitty still had the coin to payout the severance.

    When it rains, it pours.

Did you find a home for little Nikki? I’m not anywhere near you but know someone in Bangkok who may be interested.

I had one of those shizus. Gave it the missus mother to keep her company. She only had it 2 days before it died drinking paint.

    So cant really recommend her
