    For Sale - Suzuki GSXR 1000 K1

I need to clear some room in the stable for a new arrival next Friday so looking for a quick sale on my GSXR 1000.

I purchased this bike from another teakdoor member for a track bike a few months back but have not had time to do anything with it.

Has 15k on it now. In good condition for its age. A couple of small cosmetic issues and could use a new chain. Very solid motor and hasn't given me any problems the 10 or so times I've taken it out.

This bike does not have a greenbook or invoice. Great for a track or parts bike but not recommended for daily street use due to the lack of paperwork.

I paid 80k for it so thats what I'd like back out of it.

I'm located in Bangkok and can show it in the evenings after 7. Can be contacted by phone 084 928 6012 or via PM.

Was dropped down to from mid 600's to 550k. Went to every dealer in Bangkok yesterday and they were all sold out. Was told they're clearing stock for the new model and wouldn't have anymore available.

Luckily found one for sale in Pattaya so going down this week to pick it up.

I bought an er6n then sold the SRX6 to pick up the GSXR. Now clearing those out for the Z. Loved the srx but it was a bit small for my expanding waistline.

    Yours doing well?

Now it is going well, ridding every day if it not rainning.
Had a lot of work rebuilding the engine, put it up for sale.
    glad it did not sell.

Good luck with selling the bike

    ^agreed

^^Yup same one. Picked it up 2nd hand with 800km on it for 250k and added:

    2 Bros M2 full system
power commander v with dyno tuning
    BMC air filter
    rizoma bars
    dmv levers
    grips
    bar end mirrors
    rear sets
    tail tidy kit
    LED taillight/signals

I think about 60k put into it but I didn't really keep track after the exhaust and the pcv.

It's changed hands about 5 times in a short time? What's wrong with it?

How did it suddenly acquire an invoice after having no paperwork at all for the last three (that have been mentioned on TD) sales?

Buying a used bike in LOS is like tip-toeing through a minefield.

^ Thinking of contacting the seller on Baht&Sold, pointing them at this thread, mentioning that the invoice/paperwork is obviously fake and offering them 40K for it....

^ A mine field is right, there are so many fakes, (People and cops) and bikes are easy to load on to a pick up.

I wouldn't touch a slightly wiffy smelling bike with a barge pole. Having has the lesson thoroughly pummeled into me.

I am afraid performance bikes and the persons associated with them have too many bad memories for me.

    ^

I agree- there's little chance I'd buy a secondhand bike from a complete stranger without some sort of prior knowledge of it- my bike, MtD's bike, JJ's bike, for example, at least have some sort of history outlined of their purchases on TD, but without some verifiable record of the provenance from new, no thanks.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I also lol'd that it has never been in an accident........ wonder if the person knows it was in an accident that resulted in the death of a policeman's daughter.

I sent the person an email

    Original Message:

Awesome bike, how long have you had it for ?

    when was it imported ?

Has it ever been tracked or dropped ?

    Cheers.
    And the reply.

hey, thanks...I had the bike for a bit, and my good friend before that, never dropped, runs great. I have 3 bikes so dont really ride it much..it was imported years ago by someone else... sale 150k obo. take care.
Shall I raise the bullshit card now or play with the person a bit ?

Ask for a fax of the invoice paperwork.

He's selling an R1 as well on TV and BahtSold.

    I wanna see the invoice.

    Thanks for the prompt reply..

    Am interested.

I have a friend who can sort out a book but he wants to see the invoice/import documents to ensure it is all above board so that he can get the book.

Can you send me a copy please.

    Cheers.
