    Kaohsiung recommendations?

I am on my way there (now in HK airport in transit) and have just been informed by the ships agent that I will have 3 days to wait.
Anyone know the places to go and what to do?
I have been there once or twice for flying visits a few years back and found it to be full of TEFLers.
Anyway I have a camera with me so if you lot can't help I will have to work it out for myself and document it here.

I used to hang out at the Carmen Bar and also at the bar in the New York Hotel, some of the finest looking chink broads were bar girls there and very little waste of time.
But that was a long time ago, during R&R from Nam and we used to load sack cement out of there when I sailed merchants.
But if I was a young man like you, I bet I could find something to do..
Used to be a CPO club there on the edge of town.

    Cheers

I went for a walk yesterday and took some pics but the hotel internet connection is shit and is on and off - hence I am not going to start a photo thread when i know I will keep losing it and having to start again.

Today I am going to a Taiwan hot pot restaurant I think......a Taiwanese friend is bringing me so should be authentic.

I think its there where they boil the squid alive for you at the table, worth taking your camera as it struggles to get out of the slowly heated water

Wufu 4th road is the bar district - Montana and The Brass Rail being about the best.
On the cultural side there is the Old British Consulate ,Kaohsuing port artillery batteries, Hakka Museum house.
Across the harbour on the island are the best seafood restaurants.

    Enjoy
    I did for 4 years !!!
