I think ppl don't understand that Japan is expensive by default.
Nut, compared to Tokyo, or Kyoto, or even Osaka, Fukuoka is not that expensive if you think we are talking about a major city.

Not compared to where I come from (Auckland, NZ)... but sure, compared to somewhere like tai-lan, it's more expensive...

I wouldn't go so far as to call Japan, "cheap"... but I would say it's very reasonable, especially considering the quality of goods & services...

So we have my sis-in-law coming to help move, her and mum want to help clean the place - despite my protest (it's a Japanese cultural thing).

Hot as a bitch in heat today...around 36c

As is tradition, we bought small gifts for our neighbours x6
Towels, neatly gift-wrapped, which I will present tonight in my metallica t-shirt and pink hello kitty slippers lol

    Yer,

Thing is my Gaff is 42 Sqm, no room for two big Telli's.

Id either need to fok off one of the Tellis or give My Handbag the boot.

Not doing that, my Handbag is an awesome cook and I really like her.

The telli can't cook for shit even though it looks good.

    Handbag wins.

Anyway the Smart 55 telli is available on Lazarda all day everyday, no probs.

These big TV's are tumbling in price, cheap as shit now.

They do get pricy though once ya get over the 60 ".

Just move your sofa closer ya great gallah.

Ive got the same tv as Buriram boy but mines the 50 inch and was half the price of his 65 inch.

My first sofa is about 7 foot away from the tv(under the aircon). The second sofa is a further 7 feet behind for guests (with a wind up fan on the coffee table)

Yup, I think that's about the right size for my living room *46-50" - and I guesstimate my sofa is about 7 feet away from the wall where the TV will be.

Got the sofa/washing machine and fridge, delivered last night. Still in the process of buying all those small, annoying items...

Bought a beautiful glass coffee table and matching dining table, with white pleather chairs today - from furniture outlet... if you don't mind older models, or slight blemishes, a scratch or 2... you can pick up some awesome deals on very high-end stuff...

    Will post some pics soon...

Forgot to take pics of the coffee table...I reckon it matches with the dining table.. both will be delivered tomorrow...

only major things we need now is a couple beds, TV/home theatre...

living room is taking shape... looking good.. I think
we've done well so far - still within budget - until I blow out with the TV/surround sound system heh....

    Love the wooden slab...

Just getting away from the big TV gig Dickie.

Have you noticed many nasty round eyes banging around town ?

I mean is it a place that many tourists go to or is it sort of low keyish.

    Cheers, Bnice...

    Finally decided on a telly..

Hope you guys approve... here are the specs.

LG 55UH7500 so settled on 55" HDR 4K

Hard convincing Mrs Racist, to buy a Korean TV lol... she's so loyal to domestic products (Sony/Sharp, etc)... was willing to spend more (of my money) buying local... anyway, I wear the pants, so my decision (my money) innit... sarky will be along shortly.

Nice Telli Richard, you will never regret buying that. Great work.

Anyway Dicky, another general purpose question. I aint been to Pan Head land but have seriously thought about it.

Actually booked the flight 6 years ago but got sick and had to pull it. I recon next year I'll get there with my handbag.

Nok flies there for fook all and it's only 5.5 hours from BKK, just about my max flying time.

Thanks for the offer of lending your car Dicky, that's very White of you eh.

But Richard, say I'm banging around the joint and i feel like having a beer.

Do the Pans have like pubs or Taverns or even drinking establishments where ya can sit down and have a Guinness. ?

    Hows that work Dicky ???

It's not like Australia where there's a pub on every corner is it. ?

^ Thanks mate, missus thought it was too big - but that's what she thought about me willy - and I managed to stuff that in alright ey...

Yup, mostly whisky bars in Itoshima, but a few Western style pubs in Fukuoka city and heaps in Tokyo of course.

This is one in Fukuoka - if you are down this way, I'll shout you and your lady a beer.

    Very interesting Richard. Ta.

Considering you are the only white man around the hood and having an extended family of Nippon you are bound to go forth and have a very interesting future.

I think your venture is rather gutsy and marvelous.

    Good luck with it.
