    Vehicle Tax Renewal online

It is approaching time for me to renew the tax on the roller skate.

Has anyone tried doing this online? I can only see a 13-digit Thai ID offering.

A Thai 13-digit yellow, Thai ID card, for a foreigner, is available from your local District Office. If you wish to apply for one and provide the necessary info.

At car tax renewal time I give the wife the money.

She passes it on to the gardener who then spends a morning queuing up in some government office in rown

There's a new tax disc on the windscreen by the afternoon

I have several blue books, but I'm not resident at any of them.

I have a 13-digit ID from getting vaccinated, but no card.

Yeah, I could probably outsource it to an agent or go and do it in person, but that wasn't my question.

It seems no-one has the answer.

You can use the registration number of the car owner's juristic person if you don't have ID card.

It's the easy way to do it, though, isn't it? How long you been in Thailand ... Oh.

Here the easy way to do it is go to the local Department of Land Transport office with insurance policy. All vehical checks (emission, brakes, lights etc.) done in 30 mins. Go back next day and pick up the sticker.

That would still cause an address conflict.

No, the easy way to do it would be online, like 90-day reporting.

You've always got to open your fat gob and put your foot in it, haven't you?

Don't need physical check until it's five years old.

I suppose I might as well try the 13-digit number I got with the jab.

However, it seems it's 13-digit ID only, and the one I got with my last vaccination has expired - it seems they were only temporary.

Harry, go get your pink ID. It's a piece of cake to get one and can be used for several things in lieu of a passport.

You need a Thai ID number to apply for a Pink ID.

Drive thru window at the Dept. of Land Transportation in Nong Hoi is a breeze for sticker renewal if doing it online is causing too much grief.

If you're a Farang bloke driving a Suzuki Swift, the last place you'd want to go would be to a drive thru and having to wind down your heavily tinted window and confess to being the fukkin owner.

That's an idea. And not far from one of my favourite eateries, too.

I've got one, I just don't use her as a servant.

I'm not at all bothered driving the roller skate with the windows down in this weather.

Better than being a Fortuner wanker or a Ranger twat.

Or those chinky government MG's, probably got all sorts of spying shit in them.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

All you need is the blue book and maybe some ID.

Anyone can rock up and pay tax for any vehicle.

I believe it's 7 years for the physical check but you can get those done all over the place to save the big queue at the transport office.

    7 for a bike, anyway.
