Rainy season eh. Take Care everyone that are getting floods.
Looks like a lot of water. Isn't Sept/Oct the worst months for rain?

The new governor has the inkling of a good idea, but no doubt it will disappear in a swirl of fiscal arguments.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is proposing the construction of a flood drainage system that could offer a solid solution to the water drainage problem in the capital city.
Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt discussed the idea with Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paojinda as they inspected flood-affected areas in Lat Krabang district on Wednesday (Sept 14).
Chadchart said the new drainage system could be the long-term solution to preventing severe floods in the capital.
According to the Bangkok governor, the proposed system will drain run-off from the Prawet Buri Rom canal in eastern Bangkok into the Bang Pakong River in Chachoengsao province and finally into the Gulf of Thailand.
These are the evacuees, I'm standing in my lawn. These same people lost everything 3 years ago. It always hits the poor people the hardest because they live on the flood plain. Three years ago many of their homes were just corrugated shacks that washed away in the flood. They got government money and built back better. At least this time they maybe go home to a brick and mortar shell. Another strange thing, three years ago trucks were lined up giving them free food, they had so much free food they were stockpiling. This time almost nothing. The gf said because of two years of covid, there is very little money left to give them food.
Finally had some weather where I could do a drone fly over. The river is down about 1.5 meters.
Old Muddy. You can see the black on the left cement levy near the bridge how high the water got. The right side flooded in many places.
Looking North
Nice weather today. Slight breeze out of the east. We need a week to dry this all up.
There's water touching one of the outside walls of our private village, probably needs about 1 meter for it to come up through the drains etc and start flooding the roads and lower lying houses.
Thats what happened here, very strange to see. Before the Mun river overflowed, the villages along the river were already flooded from their drains.
you can see why the Thais insist on blocking them with plastic waste, nasty drains
There was a bit of sunshine this morning, great chance to catch up on the laundry, it turned out not to be enough sun to dry the towels. Dark skies and distant thunder again now. The rain has just started and who knows when it will stop?
Hot and sunny here all day.
People talk of big run offs coming down from Chiang Dao and Mae Taeng.
People hopefully be wrong.
Apparently the Mae Ngat dam started releasing water at 3pm and they warned it's expected to hit Chiang Mai around 6pm.
Well one minute I was changing the oil in my lawnmower, next minute I am running for cover.
This all happened in about 5 minutes.
Went from sunny to I almost need a damn flashlight at 3:50 in the afternoon.
Well time to pull up a "Stump" as they say. Not much else one can do.......
But watch it pour from my upstairs Sala area.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
HAHAHA.
Gotta hand it to those Kerry drivers. Rain, flooding, wind, they deliver.
I didn't even have to go in the rain. They brought me my new Supcase Watch band. My Galaxy Watch 3 has taken a beating, Bezel trashed and doesn't turn freely anymore, gorilla glass stained and scratched so I ordered a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and this time have a case to protect it. Well hopefully. I am hard on watches which is why I stopped wearing one but I like all the heath tracking features plus music etc. Like Smartphones, they aren't a watch anymore. I seldom ever look what time it is.
The sky burst open here in Mae Jo.
