    Flooding everywhere today

    Lots of posts reporting flooding all over the place this morning.

    Not sure about everywhere. We have a place in Zone 5 and we're not swimming... yet.

    Sybille thinks all the water in the river comes from rain over the city.

    <sigh>

    My friend in Lampoon sent a photo of her yard yesterday. It was a mini lake with water up to her back step. A few more inches and it will be inside her house!

    ^^^ The land is on a pretty good slope up here for the water to run off and not flood. (Knock on wood.)

    Bugger.

    So Level 3.

    The current deluge of rain isn't draining away here in L5.

    Hopefully it won't get to the point of needing to put on me speedos.

    I'd be more concerned about having to trip your breaker than whether or not you can still squeeze into the budgie smugglers.

    That's the leccy, right?

    So what's the procedure.

    When water enters the house, flick off the electricity, stuff the rabbit in a backpack, and head for Sybil's?

    Certain FB group owners are already moving expensive shit upwards

    When the threat of flooding is imminent, it is a good idea to turn off the power in your home while it is still dry. How should you turn off power at the electrical panel box? The panel box has circuit breakers for each circuit as well as a main shut-off switch. You should first flip each individual circuit breaker one at a time and then turn off the main circuit breaker.

    The data in the three right hand colums refer to measurements at the Naowarat Bridge today. From left: water height m. (safe level 3.7), flow rate cu.m./sec (safe 500) and time.
