In reality no, i think you'd have to be unlucky to get done for this.

I herd it described as the Tardis of cars, (looks small from the outside but huge inside) it's a shame that they will stop stop making it. I was very surprised when I heard about it because I thought it was a very popular model.

so was the Mrs and Model T Ford, times change.
I've always preferred the ship of the desert , esp if you get to ride a pretty one.

The wife's car was out of Bangkok most weekends but not driven at night. Never had any problem.

YMMV being a Farang and those numerous road blocks set up all around that moat

If you are looking for inexpensive basic transportation. Try the Mitsubishi Mirage.
When we were part timers in Thailand, and we needed something for when we were here, but would not mind leaving it here for months at the time, We Got a mirage, after putting over 100k km on it the only thing other than maintenance we did on it was when we changed that little A/C radiator that it was very inexpensive. I am sorry we sold it when we bought our new car and we often say that we should have kept it .
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
