We also considered that the HRV might be our next step, but a friend bought one and we will take the jazz capacity over the bigger engine.

We got ours in 2014 but it’s the ‘13 model which was last before an overhaul, which reduced the space inside from what I can see.

I always wondered about that. Benz here in Thailand spend a lot of time in the shop. A lot of expensive time. My wife borrowed one for a month about 15 years ago. It taught her to buy Japanese.

I took a look at the '22 Swift and decided that was the one for me. Ticks all my boxes.

    Getting delivered on Saturday.

I've been driving this rented Fortuner for a couple of weeks which was great for the big shopping, but I've done all that now and to be honest it's a bitch in tight junctions and parking.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

I don't doubt the positive input re the swift.

But, let's be honest, and not that there''s anything wrong with that...

No, I don't have an impressive drive, Mildred.

But I don't have the automobile equivalent of a man bag either.

And after a decade of him bragging about his astronomical income I was expecting a Jensen Interceptor at least.

Sybille you're probably the person to ask.
Should I get furry dice and a "Harry - Beyonce" banner for the windscreen, and if so where do you get yours?
And what rap artists should I play on the sound system?

You being the person with "his finger on the pulse" and all.

those little suzukis are not bad cars, but in the uk the marketing for them is directed at young women of indeterminate ethnicity rushing to meetings in high tech office blocks and nerdy blokes with extensive but impeccably trimmed facial hair.

    are you a retiree harry?

Its madness, the new ones on lease are ok if you feel the need to have a new car outside your house and pay through the nose for it.

I've been contemplating a flash 2 seater summer car but thought of the impending Bill's puts me off when I've had carefree motoring for do long.

I got my rims (are they still called rims if they're just the sticky on type?) From Lazada.

They had some fake sporty exhausts too that I'll treat myself too when I'm not dirt poor.

Just laughing at the persona you've presented for the last decade.

Living in the sticks 2 Toyotas his n hers, all locals can fix have parts.
If I lived in Bangkok I think I'd stick to Grab door to door but I'm retired and don't shop other than for shoes and wine the rest Mrs or online.
Having put engines in and out I'd still prefer a classic Mercedes 250 diesel, had 2 in Europe never spent a penny on repairs, but used Benz silly money due to import tax and the types who drive them, so poor value.
If I can find another my favourite drive was a Subaru Legacy turbo but again parts and dealers rare in the sticks.

My final vehicle barring a hearse will be one of those motorcycle sidecars driven by the wife with an armchair and an optic

When I arrived in the sandpit years ago, everyone and his auntie had a Suzuki jeep.

They've been making them for 50+ years.

No it's only for the occasional taunt.

Which do you think will make sybille's little head explode quicker? Should I tell him:

    1. I've decided to buy a second hand basic model Tata Nano?

    or

    2. I'm only buying the car for the butler?

Is it right that you can't go to another province on a red plate?

    Added:

    Well fuck.

Trade plates carry a significant number of restrictions. Drivers with red plates must seek permission from authorities if they want to use the vehicle at night. Cars with red plates cannot be driven out of the province where the vehicle was registered at purchase. Drivers must ask for permission each time they want to travel outside the specified area. Documents must be in order, with the destination and the dates of travel. Red-plated cars are not allowed to use expressways. Drivers of cars with red plates must have all car-related documents, a proper driving licence, and ID card ready for checks at all times. Police officers are authorized to stop any car with a red plate to examine the car and the driver's documents even if no traffic offence has occurred.
