You asked for a lawyer but won't tell what you need a fucking lawyer for or what youre trying to accomplish, so how are people supposed to help when you ask a terminally vague question like that.

Siam Legal have an office there, and they seem to do the services you require, but sadly I have no personal recommendation or experience with them.

Thread Title: Lawyers in Chiang Mai for Immigration/Visa and Tenancy agreements

    seems clear enough... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Except for the fact that you have to get Thailand visas from outside Thailand, so a Thailand visa "lawyer" in Chaing Mai is going to be hard to find.

    Wanna bet?

It's not like they will all be residing in Turkey or Romania, is it? Someone that speaks thai and is familiar with Thai law and has access to Thai offices and immigration? Yep, reckon they are gonna be living in Thailand.

All those people applying from overseas? If only there was some way to communicate with people overseas and send documents remotely...

If youre coming from overseas then yeah you'd get a "lawyer" in the country you're coming from.

If youre in country then you'd get a local agent.

If youre trying to open a "business" that would grant you your visa to stay, then yes you'd need a local lawyer.

But since Harry refuses to state what hes trying to accomplish, its all speculation and the only possible answer given the lack of information is this:

Much the same as when you plaster your shite all over the forum.

But thanks for the entertainment (needing a lawyer for a rental agreement!! )

Post #36 (with mine #37 and counting) of advice how to get a Queen's English speaking lawyer for managing visa in Chiang Mai.

Fortunately, if it were not for someone who is so bright (and who always knows who is not so...) then it would run over much more pages.

(Wondering whether it is why somewhere - please no names here - they have so many lawyers per capita?)

To be fair, Harry was asking for recommendations for a lawyer. In the thread title its says visa and residency.

That is it. Simples. None of this is rocket science.

It says visa and tenancy which is vague.

Property purchase or business I can understand, but personal visa/immigration shit, you've still got to do most of the legwork even with an agent, unless you wade into the realm of illegality. Which is fine, but expensive.

That is the right thing to do.
Start already now with checking the estate agents internet sites so you get an idea of the price level for houses/condos in the area you are interested in.

The very previous sentence to that one:

They've all got websites which is handy for indicative numbers.

    I don't "need" a lawyer for a rental agreement.

    I want one.

Who in their right minds would enter an expensive agreement with a stranger without performing due diligence?

    Oh, that's right. You.

Wasn't trying to offer advice, I was merely trying to pinpoint what you wanted to do so that myself or others could point you in the direction of a professional that could help you.

For whatever reason you've got extremely thin skin (thinner than normal anyway) about this.

What, you mean like a lawyer in Chiang Mai who has expertise in immigration law and visas?

Its just so ridiculous that you'd need a visa lawyer AFTER you've already arrived to Chaing Mai (the place you need to visa to get to) that it seemed there should have been an underlying issue you were trying to work through.

Try not to be such a bitch. You posted a vague thread then got all butthurt when you didn't get the suggestions you wanted when you should have just googled local lawyers and met them for a consultation.

Slick what is ridiculous is that you think your limited knowledge would be helpful.

No you don't. Even I know that.

Try not to be so butthurt that what you are saying is wrong and illustrates exactly why I don't want to rely on advice from TD 'experts' or Google.
