Finding the good thing about this KSR is the huge number of spares and configurations available.
Switched out those silly little side lights for one main because they were, well, silly:

Those bikes in the background are gonna be used a lot less now.
^ looks like one of them's purposely bust the chain on it already.
^&^^ They were carefully ‘stored’ there to make way for the motorbike.
Might leave them there to naturally biodegrade and feed the garden
Same pic in 6 months time.
Fok that, reckon you could hammer the engine from the pick-up into one?

Most beautiful woman in Thailand buggered off to work, so I buggered off up around Fang for the day.
For those that don't know, the road up there is located between the Triassic and Cretaceous periods.
Just out of shot is a herd of Brachiosaurus slowly grazing.
Fookin' ell what a road.
Some nice quaint wee villages n towns along the way.
And lots of these fellas the further North I went.
We all need sustenance.
Great day's ride. Well recommended for those with bikes in the area.
Picked up a liter of me favourite from Rimping on the way back.
Definitely one of life's better days.

Btw, the Top Gear lads did their Bridge over the River Kwai, over the river Kok in Chiang Rai ( I believe) on their brilliant Burma/Thailand Special. Anybody up around these parts know the location of it? Would be interested in checking it out.
Cheers.
Cheers J. This one's a great ride.
So took the kids out for their first proper go on the bike at the weekend. Stand-by for half-arsed crappy pics...
Locked and loaded and ready to go:
Oh wait what's that, you're just telling me now the neighbors kid is coming to? Well OK then, no biggy...
...and the other one!?
And off we go...
The place we went was perfect for the kids, a massive open area of about 15 rai and other than the obstacles of some roaming cows not much they could wipe out / crash into / impale themselves on -- although they had a decent crack at it regardless.
And speaking of cows... I managed to tame on of the vicious beasts using my Crocodile Dundee skillz:
The terrifying moment I made actual contact with one of the savage beasts, was lucky to escape with my hand still attached:

Looks like fun.
Luigi cool thread and stop nursing that glenfidich and get it down your neck.
I've no idea were the Top Gear team filmed that program, could have been anywhere. ...
An interesting case for TDCSI me thinks....
Where is the source of the Top gear river Kwai bridge?
Gotta say, I'm absolutely loving my little ute. Perfect for the job, fun to drive, and (unloaded and without kids) goes like snot with the 2.0ltr in it:
And that was about that, packed up and ready to go...
...what overloading??
And one last Top Tip: if you're going to spend your avro picking up kids and bikes, fixing and refueling them (both the kids and the bikes) out in the hot midday sun and you have a pasty-white complexion then you might want to invest in some sunscreen...
...sure as fuck wishing I had today!
Your fan club is gonna love that last pic.
I wouldn't trust my kids on motorbikes, suppose it's all about gradual tutoring and observations.
Yup, thought had occurred to me. Smeggol & Co. will be adding it to the collection and commenting on me fashion choices no doubt.
Have to say they were pretty good for the most part but there were some ring-puckering / heart stopping moments. Not least of which when one of mine somehow managed to find the only obstacle within miles and bury the bike into an overgrown well.
He was fine but. Bike didn't fare so great, broke the front fairings.
Went to a motorcross rally a while back and the kids category was fvcking fearless, ramping 12 Feet in the air at heart pounding speed.
^^^^ that looks like the sunburn of a man who was riding the bigger bike in those pics
Just for testing purposes. And I didn't make the kids wait... Often...Originally Posted by Dillinger
Just doing some research, and unfortunately it seems the bridge is long gone, having been dismantled after filming.
Location seems to be on the Fang river, a tributary of the River Kok.

Didn't realise I'd snapped a pic but here's the damage (although not very clear).
Bike and kid meet well covered with overgrown plants, well and overgrown plants win:
Might’ve created a bit of a monster here. Little buggers want to ride everywhere now, even down the road to see their mates. Bet the neighbors are enjoying the noise
Well you weren't wrong.Originally Posted by Chittychangchang
