Building a Bookcase & Bridges of Friendship in CM.

Looking for a carpenter for a small job in central CM.

Want a bookcase/shelves made and fitted in roughly the following dimensions.

One of these designs. About 30-35cm deep. Dark hardwood.

Will need to be done onsite to ensure it fits properly.

If anyone knows someone please let me know, cheers.

I'll flick you the details of the guy we use later when I'm at home if I remember (which I probably won't, remind me ).

He's pretty good, did some similar shelving for us.

    Sweet, cheers.

Probably more like something like this.

With a support holder under the left overhang.

Wasn't there a member based in CM that did this kinda thing? Had a Er-6n I think, was a single dad, built a house with workshop next door around 5-6 yrs ago?

Can't put a name to the possibly incorrect info.

So 4 foot high and 4 foot deep. Can you stretch that far?

Talking of stretching that far, how much are you paying?

^^ Is that the bloke that knocked you out with one punch in The Pintsman?

Might have a go off it myself. Would rather not slice me fingers off, so presume there are place where you can order whatever wood to be cut to length. Then go back again to get more because you measured it wrong.

Would guess that a drill, screws, little L things to secure them in place, a bottle of whiskey and 6 hours is all one needs.

    Easy.

Though I'll still take that number if ya got it Ant.

I'll do it for you Lulu, for free. Just pay for my return ticket to CM and the materials.
I won't need a WP if just helping out a mate, unpaid, will I?

Well the good news is I didn’t forget to get you the number... woohoo, yay me!

The bad news is my wife’s just reminded me we don’t use our guy anymore precisely because he fucked up the last shelving he did. Didn’t let the timber dry correctly or something so it warped:

    Still want the number??

Serioisly though, the wife suggests just taking the design to a shop at Baan Tawai and having them do it for you. Did the same for my bar and stools and very happy with that work

Too bad we're in different countries...I've got a GREAT guy here. Really old...hops on the bus and comes up here when needed with his little satchel of hand tools. He did all of my floor-to-ceiling bookcases, a dressing table for my daughter's room, a huge outdoor table and chairs for the covered patio...etc. Amazing work!

I'd definitely show up if you're there.
I guess that's the real reason you don't want me doing it.

He really does amazing work. Set up in a rich area of the US, he'd be overwhelmed with orders, and rolling in money, in months.
