I started 8 days ago with enthusiastic vigour, i've visited the local DIY superstore and spent about £400 so far on materials and power tools!

The education from the Teakdoor construction forum fired me up for the job in hand, along as several you tube videos.

Alas, i'm starting to flag and slow down, my motivation is diminishing but the clock is still ticking...

Instead of bladdy shelving, why not just extend an area of the flat designated as a library/computer room/guy cave.

This all depends on the size of the apartment, of course.

I made a decent offer to help and you respond with rude and silly remarks.
Tall poppy syndrome at work again. You resent someone who can do a simple carpentry/handyman job that you are too inept to do yourself.
    Rude little insecure man.

Just do it yourself Lulu. Those rendered Solidworks 3D drawings on the napkin look pretty straight forward. The quick way is Global House has descent wood and will cut to length. Of course you will need a drill and some hardware and maybe a planer to size it to fit.

That aside there are lots of wood shops in CM. I have stopped at a few picking up some Teak. Just drive around. You can find a guy pretty quick.

The old Thai guy that did our wood work is outstanding but he is to old to travel from Lampang

Want a bookcase/shelves made and fitted in roughly the following dimensions.

One of these designs. About 30-35cm deep. Dark hardwood.

Will need to be done onsite to ensure it fits properly.

If anyone knows someone please let me know, cheers.
Then technically you are looking for a cabinet maker? Just sayin....

Even different in Thai according to Google Translate.

So.... the plan is to pencil it onto the wall with me measuring tape, spirit level, ruler, HB pencil and box of Mont Clair.

Reckon I'll need about 10 meters, around 30cm wide, cut into the various pieces.

What sort of wood should I go for? (Looking for a naturally dark color, or else one that is easy to stain )

And how much should 10 meters of it cost?

    Grazie Mille!
