JPPR2 used to live near there when he first joined TD, and related how he was (luckily) renting a nice place, only to find that a neighbour started a chicken farm....with attendant smell, flies, and early morning noise.

Of course, this wouldn't bother your good self. Your mate Withnall has ......er....alternative uses for chickens.
Yes I did LatinDancer. Man I was almost sold on the place. It was actually inbetween Cha Am and HH. I'd never live in HH. Hh is a rundown congested area and the beaches are really uninspiring. Pran Buri is much nicer. I think if I was gonna do a beach life i'd do something in Ao Luk area. I grew up near a beach town tourist place and could not do it now. Just too damn busy for me and looking at fat ass gut hanging out half naked westerns would likely make me toss my lunch.

On Edit: I think after growing up in Beach area its much better to visit it, then live in it. But understand each has their own preferences.

Beer n BBQ day all day tomorrow I reckon, just picked-up and marinaded some whisky honey ribs, and some beef kebabs.

Will hit the oven wrapped in foil for a low n' slow cook around 9am after 20+ hrs marinating, then onto the barbie around midday. Thai food: Kor Moo Yang and Gai Yang also being served. Beers being opened around 11am if anyone's around.
    Bastard.......

I just did a Teriyaki marinated Salmon steak and some lemon pepper chicken wings on the barbie when I was home last week. Came up with a new Mojito recipe that I must say was OUTSTANDING.

Now still stuck at work....google countdown clock -a-tickin....tick tock tick tock tick tock

Reminds me of when we cooked up a carbonara and we put an elastic band into one friend's plate.

He devoured the lot and was pretty much licking the plate saying it was the best he ever tasted, by which time 4 of us were on the floor in puddles of pee.

I think the ambulance needed to be called as we couldn't breath.

Was almost as funny as when one mate pissed into a syringe in school and injected it into one kid's apple and put it back in his lunch box.

Covered a tin of cat food in a prawn cocktail sauce at a party once and gave it to a most annoying drunk, he ate the lot remarking how delicious it tasted while we nearly split our sides with laughter.

    What times the bbq again?

    555...

    OK.

    Ingredients:

    Bag of rock brown sugar

    5 or 6 mint leaves

    1 lime

    1 bottle of Soda water

    1 bottle lime juice cordial

Rum of your choice, I prefer dark jamaican as it offers a nice flavor, Bacardi clear is junk.

    Process;

    1) In a tall glass, Put about 1/2 a teaspoon rock sugar in glass

    2) Drop in mint leaves.

    3) Mash up the mint leaves with brown sugar to give a nice mint smell

    4) Add ice to top

    5 ) Pour in 2 parts rum (I like'em strong )

    6) 1 part lime juice cordial (More makes it sweeter, less you can taste more of the rum)

    7) Top off rest with Soda water

    8) Toss in a wedge of lime

Mix up and down that thing.

    Cheers

I don"t want to add to the thread hijack , but ... , if you are fair dinkum about looking at property in Thailand , Kaidee is the starting point .
Using Google chrome , go into your settings or add this app to your search bar ,click on translate thai to english .
When you next open kaidee it will translate automatically to english .
from there it is easy to find your way around
i have been using this method for years . Sometimes the kaidee software is glitchy

There's a couple of Facebook groups which often have fairly decent properties for sale.
