Bar Stools Chiang Mai

Last time I was in Chiang Mai, a couple of bars had some unique looking wooden rustic barstools - sturdy and swivelled. Looked good to me.

I was wanting 4 for a bar at my house.

I cant remember where I saw them may have been in John's bar or a little bar "My Bar" close to Imperial Mae Ping.

If anybody has any idea where I could purchase same I would be grateful.

I have tried online searches but no joy.

There is a very big bar/restaurant/hotel surplus place here in Samui. Surely CM would have something similar?

If you draw a pic of exactly what you want there's an excellent bloke in our village who could make them for you.

If I'm right then my guess is that they come from Baan Tawai. Not sure how that helps with an online search though, buncha different shops there so some must be online but I don't know any of the names sorry.

Different to the type you're after but they're sturdy as all fockery and have lasted years.

Great place. I picked up a nice dining set there years ago. Sure you will find a variety of barstools. Shops galore. Couldn't get the missus out of the place. Spent 10 hours in the bloody place.

Forgive me but I am no artist, the type I was talking about were round seats with curved arms - looked like re-claimed wood.

However, for other styles I like, that are totally different what do you think of these below?
Maybe your guy could carve a few a few of these or similar as I do not think they can be procured now in Oz.

In common with most guys I dress to the left, I am not sure the design is accounting for that.

They'd be bloody heavy mate.

Mr. Pon, as we call him, did all the furniture, built ins, tables and chairs in our place from rough logs that were"acquired" locally.

Basically, if you show him a pic he can make it. A lot depends on what wood you want to use. That's where it can get seriously expensive.

Bar stools from logs would be easy.

Log + chain saw = job done.

Yes, that's what the Maori ones are I think - simplistic design but different.
