Its a condo not a hotel. Does it provide daily make up service, is there a restaurant on site? What about security, and possibly what about the fine print, which I did not see sample booking over the Songkran dates.

maybe you scored a great deal.

It's still 15,000 per month for a 10,000 per month condo... It's in that space between hotel and condo, a kinda low end serviced apartment (in services, not quality of place), so it is a nice deal. Go for it.

Check the extras that you have to pay for, especially how much per unit for electricity

Galare Thong ... used to live there, and staying there next month when some relos come to visit.

Paying 6650 for a week in a 1 br apartment nicely decked out with views etc and everything you need.

The price is legit OP, but the rooms can be hit and miss, some are better than others. Its good to know the room # of the good ones and book the specific room.

It's a sweet place to stay, a bit out of the city but not much, and whenever you come home at night you go past all the karaoke bars with heaps of hotties waving down cars. Look but dont touch these places will hammer you on the bill.

Now that the Sonkran festivities are over, and a different political climate now pervades, have property prices dropped?

    Doesn't seem so

Prices for higher end properties are going up fast, fuelled by the political refugees with bags of black money

that drags the rest of the market up

There are rabbit hutches here from 1000 in C Rai for 3,000 a house with a garden and as in C mai resort style stuff if you want to lash out 15-35k or $20 a day!

Not much above that level really unless your pying daily non discunt rate at Dusit.

If yoour happy with that loctiona bargain.
Unlike UK A western Lunch will be more than rent
In my carousing sessions the tip might be 500 bahts so rent is least of your concerns

Location ,will you have aavehicle ,driver, walking in heat or enless tuktuks buses are a apin. Altho locals drink drive ride scooters with no lights drunk I dont' recommend

In C mai Id book any place 2 nights and cycle around find a place you lie if you want action nightlife plenty condos between Thapae and Loy Kroi from 5k a month up
If you want shops and calmer west of the moat nr Uni Central

I lik ethe areas a bit futher out but have a car so still flexible.
Theres loads of choice increased by the TAT deter tourism regime
Good luck many mmebers here know C mai even better than me so listen to their tips
