Hi My Fellow Chiang Maians,
I have not been here too long, but wish I had heard about Chiang Mai being so beautiful years ago. Truly Chiang Mai is a very special place with just about everything one could desire, both in its natural endowments, including mountains and valleys and streams, its many cuisines priced lower than we have a right to expect, and housing which is modern, clean, comfortable, well-designed, and affordable.
The only thing I have not mentioned so far that Chiang Mai also does not lack plenty of is beautiful, and well-behaved college girls, who are neat and tidy, and pretty fashionable as well.
The thing I like best about the uniforms of the university co-eds is their black pleated skirts of varying lengths, and their tight white blouses, sometimes with silver metal ornaments, which look like military decorations.
I don't think I will post any photos here, although I could and would love to, because I do not want to either embarrass any single girl, nor post any picture of a girl who might not want her image on the internet, or especially on this questionable forum's threads.
These girls are not only quite stunning in their garb, but they are super nice and polite when you talk to them. If you are used to talking to the girls you find on other university campuses in the US or in Europe, as I am, then you sometimes expect the girls to be none too receptive to your chats, nor polite when you ask for directions to their dorms. Even if you ask where to get a sack of French Fries, they just can't be bothered to be half civilized nor polite enough to be courteous.
This is NOT the case if you come to the university in Chiang Mai though. The girls here are mighty warm and helpful. They are unless you are Chinese, because they have understandably had just about enough of the Chinese tourists coming in by the bus load after that lousy film was shown all around the poorer parts of China, causing all the poor trash there to think about coming to a university here and seeing what they have never seen before, a civilized, cultured center of higher learning. Sure, I think I will just say what is on my mind, the tourists that come from China are the poorer variety, and their rich fellows from China go to Hawaii and France, for example.
The ones we are left with in Chiang Mai, and at the University here, are the equivalent of America's Appalachian Poor White Trash some US journalist is always writing about, when they are knocking up their cousins or shooting-up and overdosing on prescription pain killers, because they are just too under-educated for words.
So, why would we want our Chiang Mai university students to be exposed to them, anyway?
What are your thoughts about the Chiang Mai university co-eds you see around town? I am sure you will be plenty positively surprised if you talk to one or two.
Just comment with your good stories and reflections, and please keep your risque comments to yourself. These girls are really cool, and nice, and beautiful.

Some things with Appalachian in them are nice.
Like Copeland's Appalachian Spring.
But most of those mountain hillbillies are up there screwing their cousins and could never think of being accepted to the great universities in Chiang Mai.
