That was the point of my first post in this thread before that naughty Harry did such a spectacular job of derailing it

These types of situations have a way of cooling off if the right gestures are made in my humble experience.

sorry to say this was not fixable with a tin of biscuits, or even a humble apology the situation was intolerable for me to stay there, a third party who witnessed the whole thing went and asked her to calm down but she was adamant that could not be fixed

yes it was the land lady supplied washing machines but with the book method, not coins
so that is where the problem started but got a lot worse from there
anyway, i'm out and miles away from the crazy fucker now!!!

^buy a washing m/c in the new place, mate - we've bought one for 15,000 baht and have had it for 6 years+, doing at least one load per day; bloody faultless...

Can't go wrong with an Electrolux.

would have certainly saved a bad situation happening, wise idea!
But you know, it was interesting ( if that's the right word) to see how the whole Thai on Thai argument turned into something that just got out of control and the way the police had to get involved to settle it all

It's standard stuff; I've had a couple of trips to the police station with the missus over the years, when the missus and one other Thai can't agree on a small money related issue then they both go ballistic... Neither wants to back down or compromise...

^ Backing down means you are lessor than the other, a massive loss of face and ego, too much for a Thai to do.

It usually takes bloody hours in the police station too; often the foreigner becomes the focal point for an attack...

That would make it much easier for them. The foreigner is the bad one, okay, all is well and we are great Thais. Dispute settled, let's go eat some insects and drive the wrong way down the road.

Back on topic: You're lucky it hasn't escalated in to a HIT! Thai's murder Thai's for far less.

I found the BIB in situations regarding Thai complaints against other Thai's completely, "worthless." They especially dislike it when the Thai drags along her Ferang Husband or B/F. The word "uncomfortable," is offered to express such an encounter.

I wound up paying 5000 baht to keep my BIL out of jail when he had words with one of the neighbor Thai ladies. I was not a witness since he was overlooking our building site and had been drinking. The neighbor called the police and they came out and took him away.

It may have been a mistake for me to show up at the police station, but I was more interested in making sure he was not abused. I kept an eye one everything and they knew I was the BIL and probably discussed how much they were going to get from me. My BIL made the mistake of telling the police they would better serve the public by being out catching real criminals, and that was it.

After about 3 hours of talking, it was decided that my BIL could pay 5000 baht to stay out of jail. I didn't mind paying since I think the police would have worked him over if left alone.

In the real world, the police would have just told both individuals to go home and sleep it off.

Are you Uncle Fester's new sales and marketing manager or something?

If you are then TD is not the right place to be shilling for his shite ad-laden website unless you can convince him to fire all the idiot mods (you know, the ones that haven't been convicted of murder or paedophilia yet) that he employs since almost everybody here seems to have been banned from there at one time or another.
