It's goin' to be another hot day.
To all in Chiang Mai, tie everything down outside that will fly with the wind. Summer wind storms are expected from this afternoon and over the next couple of days.

It'll hit 40 deg. here in Suphan today no problem.
-1°c here in the UK with the wind chill factor.
You jelly?
52 degrees c outside my house today, in the shade.... it's certainly bloody hot, but I can't believe it's that hot.... thermometer must be broken.
warmer this morning, 8C
33°c inside the Thai kitchen this afternoon
looking forward to getting back to the AC in the office
I now have been reminded why I like to escape from England in the winter
cold, grey, drizzling and dark
can be like that for days on end
^ and it's mid april
It says it's 35 here. I'm not having that. Sweating like John Wayne Gacy with his full kit on. Got to be pushing 40.
A lovely sunny day here in Pattaya with a beautiful afternoon breeze cooling a very hot day down.
^ It really was a lovely HOT day here in Pattaya, the sort of weather people going on holiday dream about, cooling off nicely now. As hot as it has been will have to have some rain in the next day or two?...
41.5 C near Lampang yesterday. I was with a local friend who said it was a local record.
On Saturday night we had a lot of wind, broken trees everywhere. I'm not familiar with the area and I was really surprised by the violence of the wind, similar to a typhoon in HK.
The things we regret most is the things we didn't do
^ Thailand does do great wind and storms; some of the thunderstorms too; can scare the %*&% out of you; massive cracks and bangs!
need to buy Wife electric mower, not so hard on you watching Her try start mower when it runs out of fuel......
I never noticed these strong winds in the north in the 3 years I been staying here.
^Maybe they didn't happen in your area before when you were there .They happen around here every few years causing quite a bit of damage, roof tiles blown off, broken trees, everyone's junk blown far and wide. Not unlike a small tornado.
Another scorcher here in Pattaya and the Mrs has taken the kids out to play Songkran.
At least that will provide them with some cooling relief.
Yeah - I remember now going through Phayao in the aftermath of a small, strong local storm. There were trees strewn everywhere and quite a bit of house damage, some roofs ripped off, etc, and it would have been about this time of year.Originally Posted by misskit
