Khao Yai resorts - Nakhon Nayok? Any info?

We're going to see the inlaws at Nakorn Nayok, and taking a trip to a waterfall: Salika (spelling?).

The missus has just said she'd like to stay in a rsort overnight tomorrow, so a quickie: Anybody know any places close to/at this site? Cost? Between 500-1500 baht, if I take her little sister and other relatives tag along then I might end up paying for a familly type room/bungalow...

Even though I've been with the missus for 8 years, I've never been to this area! So, any thoughts, advice or recommendations will be gratefully received.

I've only stayed on the north side of Khao Yai NP, BB. Accomodation in KY is around 1500+ baht.

Think Royal Hills Golf resort and Spa is 4 stars and around the 1500 mark, not too far from the falls by the looks of it. Maybe worth a phone call

^ Yep, I'm in a bind cause the missus is a real cheapskate (done me well over the years, so I shouldn't knock it...). She just hates spending money on hotels, but she wants to go places and have a good time...

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

(If the missus calls 'em, then after an hour or so she'll have got a super discounted special one-off never to be repeated rate...)

^I have been to that one it's about 1km from the car parking area, very steep and unevenly spaced steps so be careful if you take any old biddies from the Mrs's family!

Have a look here BB, https://teakdoor.com/thailands-travel...-khao-yai.html
Well, luckily I didn't have any tortoises on me at the time...

    ^ Thanks Jizzy.

Just got back (an early start for the 400km round trip), and the waterfall steps were indeed steep.

We decided not to stay out in the end cause I've got work on Tuesday; it'd be worth doing a 3 or 4 day trip in October when I've more free time. Saw some nice looking resorts though; basically, once you're past Nakon Nayok it's the park (not sure if you're really in it or not, yet?): kayaks, off-road vehicles, resorts, walks, waterfalls, food, families out in the pick-up truck... You know the picture.

Walking up to the entrance caused a bit of a commotion with the 4 park 'reps' who were taking money... I decided to stroll up confidently, smile, pass them my government employee card, and asked them in polite Thai for 4 adult's tickets and 2 children's tickets. They looked at each other looked at the card, looked at me, then looked at each other again, finally the senior looking bloke asked me in Thai who the 4 adults were? Me, her, her and her, I says. Looking shocked, he fingered through the tickets then undercharged me 40 baht! Realizing his error he asked for the proper money (rather than the Monopoly money), which I gave with a smile and was on me way. A smile and a wave on the way out incase I go again.

It seemed exactly like the waterfall I visited with a couple of friends just outside CM. Same dodgy steps, same picniking Thais, same trees, same well, it's nice, but samey.
