I don't know if there are mini-vans direct from Kanchanaburi to Sida but I'm sure there are vans from Kanchanaburi to Bangkok and Bangkok to Korat, maybe even Bangkok to Sida, but if not, then Korat to Sida should not be a problem. I suppose it depends how inconvenient that will be to you.

If 6 of you, then get a private charter from Kan to your doorstep in Korat.

I would rough guesstimate that it would be around the 4k mark. (Less than 700 baht each).

With the great expansion and popularity of intra-provincial mini-van transport over the years - wouldn't be difficult to find scheduled/chartered transport of this sort to most any destination.

Even to arrange private chartered transportation amongst the already established "commercial" fleets is reasonable. Expect to pay a little extra or premium for such individual/group service.

More like 4k for the OP.

Not difficult to find a private minivan hire. Get the Thais to do it.

^ Aye. My way around it would be to say to your friends and family that you will pay for the van as long as they pay for a dinner and drinks. Go Dilly and Charlie Sheen on their arse that night.

Got a van in Chiang Mai a couple of weeks back. He charged 2k for 10 hours, and he paid the gas.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Depends upon who's driving and other circumstances.
No such beast as an absolute........that is, unless one is deeply conditioned buy the usual dominant paradigm to observed most everything as a invented stereotypical standard.

    Moronic wishes.

Pottering around C.M seeing Wat Suthep, bit of shopping and then dinner at Goodview. I guess around 400 baht. Works around 160 baht per hour.

Up to Doi Inthanon, Doi Angkung (spelling), or that white temple in Chiang Rai, then at least double it gas wise.

Which option did you take? Were you able to get a local bus to Sida? Any update is much appreciated.
